Addressable Devices

AsBuiltTM offers a variety of addressable devices. These devices mount on and are powered by the IP Fire SeriesTM SLC located on the ALM. The addressable input and output devices provide the IP FireTM system with the facility to exercise considerable control over other building functions with its advanced Group/Zone and/or Boolean logic control-by-event functions.

The IP Fire SeriesTM control equipment, detectors and addressable devices are all RoHS compliant. Please see our GREEN brochure.

 Switch Monitors

AsBuilt switch monitors DXP-PIM, DXP-MPIM, DXP-PID and DXP-MPID are addressable devices that are a means of connecting and identifying conventional monitor points at the main IPF SeriesTM system.

AsBuilt switch monitors are available in two varieties (standard or priority-interrupt) under two different constructions (plate mounted for 4” boxes/mini-module with flying leads for use in a single gang box).

Input/Output Modules

The AsBuilt’s addressable Input Output Module (DXP-IOM) provides for two different types of input and one relay output all on single addressable module - yet uses only one device address.

The DXP-IOM is a loop powered device that incorporates:

•1. a supervised input circuit for switch monitoring, or,

•2. a non-supervised opto-coupled input (open collector) for the monitoring of 12 or 24VDC input voltages, and,

•3. a volt-free relay output

The supervised inputs are designed to monitor the state of one or more single-pole, volt-free contacts connected on a single pair of cables and may be wired in either a Class A or B (Style D or B) fashion.

The opto-coupled open collector input circuit can be used to monitor for the activation of any 12 or 24VDC circuit. Supervision is not required if the connection length is less than 3 feet.

The volt-free relay is fired programmatically through the IPF control system and NOT automatically (by simple activation of the input - unless programmed to do). The relay portion of the DXP-IOM may be activated by any other input device on the system independent of the status of the two input circuits located on the same card. This allows the DXP-IOM to truly function as two distinct addressable controls while only occupying a single SLC address point in a cost effective application.

Sounder Control Modules

AsBuilt Sounder Control Modules (DXP-SDR) are addressable devices that provide a means to remotely locate a fully supervised circuit for the operation of signal appliance such as horns, strobes and horn/strobes. The DXP-SDR can also monitor and control PA speaker circuits from the main IPF SeriesTM system via the SLC.

The DXP-SDR module incorporates a synchronization facility which allows the outputs of groups of modules to be synchronized by commands from the IP Fire SeriesTM control panel. Multiple DXP-SDR devices may be programmed to multiple Group Addresses through the Group Addressing switch (S2).

When used as a PA speaker circuit a separate audio amplifier is required (35-70V). The audio amplifier must have wire supervision capability as per NFPA.

Output Control Modules

The AsBuilt output control monitor (DXP-OCM) is an addressable device that is a means of connecting to and controlling building functions such as electromagnetic door holders, dampers, motors, elevators and disconnects from the main IPF SeriesTM system.

When tied to specific smoke detectors, switch monitors and other initiating devices, the DXP-OCM allows the IPF SeriesTM fire control to exercise significant automatic control over all building functions in accordance with local building requirements.

Dual Point Identification Devices

The AsBuilt Dual Priority Input Device (DXP-2PID) is an addressable dual switch monitor that is a means of connecting and identifying two conventional monitor point circuits at the main IPF SeriesTM system.

The DXP-2PID’s are designed to monitor the state of one or more single-pole, volt-free contacts connected on a single pair of cables on two separate circuits.
